This picture is of our first bunch of roses from one of the two bushes we planted on Mothers Day to acknowledge our two lost babies. One plant for each baby that we feel, (and guess from the timing of ovulation), were both girls.
We’ve planted them directly outside a sliding door by our lounge so we see them everyday.
The ones in the picture are of an old English variety which is beautifully scented. The other is a variegated bright pink / pale pink one called Scentimental, so obviously it also smells amazing. However we are just waiting for it to bloom again after a possum ate every bud on it!
They are a new thing for us to associate with Xmas as I believe they will bloom each year at this time. A sweet reminder of our dearly missed babies.
